Another Pride Weekend rolled by and London was in full celebration mode from Friday till....well, some are still going if you ask me.
As usual, Soho was crammed with people, mostly topless or rainbowed, streets were all pedestrianised and many were so busy, you needed hours to cross from one end to the other.
All bars and clubs had themed Pride events and many of the big brands joined the frenzy by sponsoring this or that, from Starbucks to Barclays, it seems everyone wanted to cash-in on the trend. Well, with gay marriage just hot off the yes vote in Ireland and the US supreme court, the trend is stronger than ever. One brand that has been a long-time supporter of the Gay Agenda is Absolut, so naturally, we were most interested in the Launch Party they threw at the exclusive Soho venue - The Groucho Club. Started as a somewhat private affair, the club was filling up fast and by 6pm literally the who's who of the scene were all present.
With the help of DJs Mark-Ashley Dupé, Maze&Masters and Fat Tony, performances by Mz Kimberly and the ever-so refreshing presence of London's exuberant Club Kids (this time represented by the current leaders of the pack - House Bound) the party quickly turned into the hottest event of the weekend. Anyone from D-listers to A-listers and in between were letting their hair down and sipping those sweet Absolut cocktails. I wonder how my head didn't punish me the following day. All in all, the night was a pure indulgence and Absolut proved once again that they know how to throw an awesome event. The fun was supposed to end by 11pm but of course that got extended till 2am... naturally.
Let's see who looked cool....

WYLD
I popped into the new club night WYLD at the W hotel the other

night and was pleased to see that it is a fresh new hub for our beloved club kids. The W hotel prides itself with high profile customers and A-list celebrities are often seen there, so it comes as a little surprise to find freaky creatures there, but then again, with the current trend of Lady GaGa-esque world-wide acceptance of the out-of-ordinary and the weird, what more appropriate place than a new sleek club that tries to be cool.
WYLD is every Wed night at the W hotel, Leicester Square, London

Shabba Dabba Da
is ONE!
Yes boys and girls, London's youngest
dressing-up fiesta is now a year old!
It seems like ages since we first heard
of the party and so many good nights
have rolled since then.
With ID magazine giving it their seal of
approval, the monthly club night grew
bigger and became a set date in the
London Club-Kid's Calendar.
The guys behind the Shabba were
celebrating with style at the
Baby Bath House
with friends and devotees last Saturday.
High energy electro and house beats
were provided by
Larry Tee
Buster B
Luke Worrall
Maximus Crown
and you can bet Daniel Lismore had
a spectacular look to match to the occasion.
Expect flashing images, crazy costumes
and all the usual elements of glamour.

Slimline Clubster Soufflé
London club-kid Zack is giving us a taste with a twist this week with his brand-new recipe.
Try this and let me know how it tastes...

Slimline Clubster Soufflé
Today's recipe is made entirely of abstract concepts and so you will not put on any weight with this dish! Ideal for the wannabe stick-thin clubster!

1.Take a good sized dollop of Tasty Tim's DJing skills and lightly fry them in the unpredictable nature of Dusty O's sense of humour. Then finely chop up a single clove of Lady Lloyd's left Louboutin heel and simmer it in the heat of Scottee's latest performance piece.

2. When the mixture has caramelised, take two spoonfuls of the ambiguity surrounding Daniel Lismore's weight and gender and sieve this through Shelly Would's wig collection. When the mixture has thickened boil it in Ryan Styles' performance on the Kylie Show for the entire length of "What do you think you're looking at, Faggot?" by Jonny Woo.

3. Lightly dice Angel Rose's interesting accent and juice a whole Princess Julia original track and Kris Di Angelis remix over this.

4. Then go back to Daniel Lismore's extremely photogenic face and mix it with the fierceness of Shelly Would's strut. Add Dusty O's most uncomfortable moment created after a comment on stage and finally garnish with Jonathan Bestley's newly found attitude.

(We would recommend Josh Quinton's boyish and unique good looks as the perfect accompanying tipple)
Serves an infinite number of diners.

New Club Kids - The Book Launch

Last night we launched the book that documents our scene with a full-on party at Punk-Soho and boy, what a night this was. Thank you all for being there and since I didn't have much time for pictures, do excuse me if you're not seeing yourself here, it was overwhelming and splendid!
